The mechanical treatment of the slurry and the degree of beating directly affect the average length of the pulp fibers and the binding force of the fibers. If the degree of beating is increased, the burst strength is increased, but the degree of beating is too high and the burst strength is decreased. Burst strength is a comprehensive reflection of many strength properties of paper, and it has an impact on tensile strength, elongation, and tear strength.
